important centre of commerce. Vishakhapatnam is a popular ship building
centre of the country. Another important city is Vijayawada, a known trading
centre. Other cities and towns worth mentioning include Warangal, Guntur
City, Nellore, Kakinada, Tirupati, Kurnool etc.

Fort, which has a history dating back to the Kakatiya period. Art

Andhra Pradesh has its international airport located at Hyderabad, the
state capital. The airport has regular flight to major international
destinations and Indian cities like Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai,
Delhi, Goa, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram etc. The state
has its civil airports at Tirupathi, Vishkhapatnam, Rajahmundry and
Vijayawada. Hyderabad and Secunderabad are the major and convenient railway
stations in the state. The road route of Andhra Pradesh is well-established
as well.
